DIY Picture framing – art on a budget

Rachel Castle is one of my all time favourite artists. Unfortunately being in the midst of a new renovation I can’t afford her paintings (just yet!). The good news is that Rachel hand prints these amazing tea towels. I’ve just framed 3 to hang on my kitchen wall.

Here’s a step by step guide to framing tea towels. They make an excellent statement for anyone on a budget who wants to inject some art into their home.

You’ll need:
Tea towels or prints.
Photo frame – I purchased my ‘Ribba’ frames from ikea. They’re 70 x 50 and cost $49 each.

I unfortunately don’t have an iron at the moment, but I would highly recommend ironing your tea towels before framing.

I hope you enjoyed this DIY!!
